Collection of signal, lighting and telecommunication devices

A collection of 65 items of signal, lighting and telecommunication devices including track signals, distant signals, signal plates which were placed next to the tracks or at the station, block devices, signal boxes, turnout signal lamps and locks, Morse telegraph devices, telephones, signal lamps and other written or drawn warnings and notices. Also collected were signal means of all types, from large drawn signals to small signal lamps. There is also an interesting collection of communication devices from the end of the 19th Century to today.

Telephone Exchange from Zagreb Shunting Station
                                                                                                          
The telephone exchange type CB, Tesla P-51-p9739 was used for twenty years at the Zagreb Shunting Station. It was installed in 1978 for the needs of the overnight accommodation for train crews in the right wing of the administrative building of the Zagreb Shunting Station. It was able to service 50 users and five entry lines. The working power of the exchange was 24 V and, according to the design documentation drawn up in 1972, it cost 32,000 dinars. The exchange was put out of operation in 1998 and it was taken over by the Croatian Railway Museum in 2003.
